Family weekends
A weekend is just for relaxing after an intense working week and in SP there are so many different possibilities to do it!!! The followings were the components of our family weekend:
- Chill out in Italian Pizza place on Friday night with trainee and aiesecars from other city who came to visit Sampa;
- Early morning running with Coelho (one of my brazilian house mates)- the initial idea was to go at 7 am, but we actually made to 7.20.
- Lunch with housemates- it is very typical to have feijojada on Saturdays´ lunch. It is a very typical Brazilian dish, made of bens, various types of meat and sausages; served with rice, some green stuff (do not remember the name any more) and oranges. Accompanied with cold-cold beer and a hilarious company- what else can you wish!?
- Afternoon shopping with Irina (my Romanian housemate).
- Experiments in the kitchen- salad with rucola and nuts.
- Sat nite out: first going to a new dance school opening with Filipe (my team mate), Tru and Juli (my Colombin house mate); afterwards going to Vila Olimpia for somebodys BDay together with Barbara (my Brazilian house mate), Gabiru (my Brazilian house mate), Coelho, Juli and Tru. Was very nice!!! Nice place, good music, handsom guys, srong caipirinhas. Got back at 6 and both, me and Triinu, greed that without having a breakfast, we cannot go to sleep:P So, pancakes with fruits and condensed milk and coffeee- veeery gooood!
- Sunny Sunday- in order to be out of sun, walk a bit and do some exercises and get to know the cultural part of Brazil, we decided to go to Iprianga Museum. It is the brazilian independence museum, newly restaurated and in walking distance from our house. Though the museum itself was closed, the park an the views from there are just amazing! It was good just to sit in front of the museum, discuss different issues and let the time go by...
- Cooking and experimenting- as we do not have time to do it during the week days, the cooking is rather a social and cultural event, which perfectly fits to end the weekend. This time w tried to make mango curry sauce to a chicken. The biggest challanges in the recipy was the fact, that we had no clue, which all the different amounts signify (apart from tsp= tea spoonful). So, it was a great experimenting event! And turned out nice!!!
- Conversations about Braz culture with Filipe: well, the kissing culture here is smth others need to be inducted and explained into! For me it is weird and total turn-off when a guy, with whom I hve been talking nearly 5-10 min, asks me if he could kiss me Come on!!! In Estonia the guys never do! So, Filipe gave to me and Triinu some insights from his side and inducted us to a topic.
