Flashbacks 5: Estonia!!!

1. FAMILY: I had a short but really quality time with them. Made a surprise and cooked Brazilian food and they just loved it!!! I even managed to visit my close relativesJ
2. FRIENDS: It was sooo nice to see them!!! Having lunch, drinking 5 o’clock tea, chatting while breakfast, partying a bit, catching up with things in their lives, making caipirinhas: those are great moments to remember.

Thank you all to my friends who understood and did not start complaining when I after spending some time with them had to say goodbye again and rush to meet other friends.

With some of them I`ll meet already soon;)

3. FOOD&DRINKS: Oh yes- THERE ARE things which cannot be found in other places in a world: Sipelgakook, Jassi seemneleib, Rukkijogurt, Porgandipirukas, Mustika Smoothie: to name some of them.
4. TRAFFIC: as summer is the only time to do reconstruction works, lots of streets were closed, public transport reorganized, ect, it made the traffic in Tallinn really horrible. Not the best surprise.
5. AGENDA: how many meetings, gatherings, social events is it possible to fit into 4 days!? I do not know the number, but the answer is A LOT. This is exactly how my short stays in Estonia look like: planning my agenda. And as latina some late arrivals are ok, hopefully…
6. CHANGES: With 1,5 year lots of things change. The first thing to notice is the prices: yes indeed, it’s not as bad as in Western Europe, but slightly on a way. More surpises coming up during a next visit, I guess.
7. SERVICE: at first place I’d say horrible: service in one of the best restaurants in Tallinn was less than unsatisfactory; it’s impolite and slow.

Anyhow, there are some exceptions! I managed to get brand new glasses within 3 days. And a shop assistant did not splash impolite comments while I just had forgot to take cash with me while shopping…

8. Honestly saying, I do not know when I’ll be back in Estonia next time…..
