XXX days left in Brazil

While buying my return ticket from Brazil to Estonia, I just caught myself thinking on my intentions/motivation/interest to come to Brazil for 1 year to work and live here.

And I must be honest: many things I thought would take place have converted during a process into pretty different outcomes! It’s a beauty of a game, I’d say OR it’s a normal way how things go.

I had 2 main motivators to come to Brazil: 1st based on Brazil image to the whole world: beautiful beaches, surf, samba and carnival all the time!; 2nd one was more pragmatic and focused on my professional experience gained while coordinating a regional program.

The 1st one was blown away within my few first weeks in Brazil: the country differs a lot from the images it has among other countries. Starting with the fact that Brazil is MUCH more than nice beaches and surf places: on southern part it even snows!!! and ending with a whole messy identity of this nation.

The 2nd one has transformed into great individual and professional learning indeed, but much more in a sense of general management and coordination, but not so much and as much as I have liked on professional development in Social Entrepreneurship field.

I cannot and would not like to state whether I am happy with this transformation process or not, as I still have more than a month left here, but for sure, this process has been intense and memorable!
